Clock is ticking as Irish eye takeover

London Irish have a week to prove they have the funds to keep their place in the Premiership next season – or risk joining Wasps at the bottom of the English league pyramid.
Owner Mick Crossan has been negotiating with American investors about a takeover, but progress has been slow and he had to cover April’s wage bill.
