Tom Curry hopes to inspire the next generation of Northern rugby fans by taking the Premiership trophy back home to Sale.
Curry was a few weeks short of his eighth birthday when the Sharks won their only previous league title and the region has been starved of top-level success ever since.
But having gone one better than two years ago and reached the final against Saracens, the Sharks are now just one win away from being crowned champions of England.
