SALE full-back Joe Carpenter only made his Premiership debut in October, but he starts today’s semifinal and has attracted the notice of England head coach Steve Borthwick.
Carpenter’s first match of the campaign for the Sharks was the Premiership Cup clash against Leicester at the AJ Bell in December just after his 21st birthday. Two weeks later he was in the first team and he has not looked back.
