Bath back rower Josh Bayliss, who came on early in the first half, felt their win against Harlequins showed that things were coming together at the club.
“It feels like we are really building something although it is a shame it’s all coming together at the end of the season,” he said.
“We are proud of our efforts over the last three weeks and hopefully the fans and media can see the improvement. It was incredibly pleasing. We started well but Quins, being the team they are with threats all over the field and on a pitch like this at Twickenham, we knew they would come at us hard. In the second half we went back to basics and things that served us well like the driving lineout and our scrum was winning us penalties and that got us a foothold back in the game
“Fatigue was an issue for both sides. You are always going to be tired on such a fast wide pitch.”
