Jimmy Gopperth will be 40 in June but intends to carry on playing next season, crediting his interests off the field for a senior career that is in its 20th year.
Gopperth joined Leicester from Wasps last summer, his eighth club in a career which started for Wellington in his native New Zealand.
“I still feel fit and healthy and believe I still have a lot to give,” said Gopperth, who has started Leicester’s last three Premiership matches and last month reached 200 league appearances. “I will play on next season and am currently looking at options.
