Bath boss Johann van Graan confirmed that Alfie Barbeary had sustained a serious leg injury on his debut.
“I don’t want to speculate but the injury is somewhere between his knee and ankle, and he’s in so much pain,” he said.
Barbeary, whose debut has been stalled by a hamstring injury since signing from Wasps, was helped off eight minutes after coming on as substitute for another injured player in No.8 Jaco Coetzee. Van Graan said
