We failed to take chances – van Graan

boss Johann van Graan admitted the outcome was grimly familiar for the home supporters.

“We had enough opportunities to win the game and we didn’t take them,” said the head of . “It hurts, to have opportunities and not take them. Ultimately, we weren’t good enough across the 80. We’re not good enough to get over the line and that’s disappointing.

“You’ve got to back your goal-kicker. Piers kicked very well during the week, he’s kicked beautifully all season, unfortunately a few went astray. We take responsibility as a group, it’s never the goal-kicker alone.”

DoR hailed the work of Semi Radradra. “Everybody expects Semi to make linebreaks and he can do those things, but what people don’t understand are the other things he does that create opportunities for others,” he said.

“Everyone wants to see him do the flashy stuff but there’s also the workrate he puts in. World-class players make those around them look good and he did that, but there are also the things that people don’t look at.”
