For Mark McCall, Saturday’s encounter with Exeter Chiefs is just another big match in pursuit of a play-off place.
Recent history dictates that whenever they meet it is built up as a grudge match in the media. Exeter were beaten in three Premiership finals by Saracens between 2016 and 2019, and then led the calls for the London club to be suspended from the Premiership due to salary cap breaches.
