head coach Johann van Graan was delighted with the second half display and is pleased they’ve turned into a team that is hard to beat.

He said: “It was a class finish between two good sides. As defending champions they put us under huge pressure. “We picked a side with a few changes as we knew we’d need someone like Tom Dunn at the end. The belief is there, we said we’ve got to become tough to beat, and we’ve achieved that.

“We came up against a power team; their maul and runners were pretty hard to stop. At half-time we said we needed to improve our hitting and get field position. I thought the turned at the end and then we used our opportunities in the 22.”

head coach Steve rued missed opportunities: “We had plenty of opportunities on the tryline but we dropped the ball a few times. If you don’t take the opportunities then you leave the opposition in the game and that’s what we did.”
