Tigers duo are happy to agree new deals

Freddie Steward and Jack van Poortvliet both said signing a new contract with Leicester was an easy decision as other clubs hoped to entice the 21-year old England internationals away from Mattioli Woods Welford Road.
The pair last week agreed new deals with the Tigers, along with fellow academy graduate and England cap George Martin. The retentions come at a time when clubs are finding it harder to hold on to current Test players because of the salary cap reduction and the cut in the number of marquee players from two to one.
