Players and fans also to blame, say Warriors duo

The owners of Worcester Warriors have risked the further wrath from disillusioned players and fans by suggesting that they both played a part in the club’s sad demise.
A statement written on behalf of Colin Goldring and Jason Whittingham on Friday night, accused some players of “not accepting any pay cut”, with the club’s future at risk and said they didn’t have enough fans to be “financially viable”.
Worcester were suspended from all competitions by the RFU on Monday after failing to meet a 5pm deadline to provide a “credible plan to take the club forward” amid debts of more ...
