Wasps shone on the pitch during a difficult week off it, as they looked the strongest of the sides in this week’s Premiership Rugby Cup matches.
The Coventry-based side, who won the inaugural competition in 2005/06 but haven’t claimed the title since, raced into a 21-0 lead against Newcastle Falcons on the half hour mark before exchanging 14 points apiece to seal a 35-14 victory.
