The Professional Game Board at the RFU have agreed to loosen the rules governing the minimum stadium capacity for promotion to the Premiership.
The move allows additional time for the Championship winners to get their ground capacity up to the previous requirement of 10,001 for the 2024/25 season if they are to stay in the top flight.
At the end of last season Championship winners Ealing were denied promotion due to their 4,000 capacity.
