George Skivington spent his summer watching video nasties as he plotted how to get Gloucester into the tour four of the Premiership.
Gloucester finished fifth last season, two points behind Northampton, and among their costly defeats was Wasps at home, the visitors to Kingsholm in this afternoon’s season opener.
“I did not watch every game from last season, just the ones that stuck in my mind,” said Skivington, Gloucester’s head coach. “It was not enjoyable but you have to shake demons to look forward, reliving the pain to get better.
