Matson glad to survive ambush

HARLEQUINS senior coach Tabai Matson was impressed by side’s second half display.
“Gloucester were way too good for us in the first half,” he said. “We talked about not getting ambushed, that they would be desperate and really physical, but they still blew us out of the water.
“But then the players consolidated and they went to work in the second half and we just kind of crept the scoreline back. Phenomenal result for us. The win was critical even if the manner of winning was not the plan.”
