Young English fly-half Will-Haydon-Wood will join Wasps from Newcastle Falcons next season.
The England Under 20 international has appeared 13 times for Newcastle and scored 65 points in the Premiership this season.
The 21-year-old made his Newcastle first team debut in the European Challenge Cup victory away to Castres in December 2020, before making his Premiership debut in May 2021 away to Exeter Chiefs.
Haydon-Wood was part of the Sedbergh School team which won back-to-back Rosslyn Park 7s titles.
Wasps Men’s Head Coach Lee Blackett told the club website: “Will is a player whose potential we’ve known about for some time. He’s impressed since breaking through as a starter for Newcastle this season, which is why we’re delighted to have beaten other Premiership clubs to securing his signature for next season.
“We have been wanting to add another fly-half to the squad to complement Charlie Atkinson and Jacob Umaga, and bringing Will into the exciting group of fly-halves we have at the Club is something we are looking forward to.”
Haydon-Wood added: “I am delighted to have signed with Wasps ahead of the 2022/23 season. I can’t wait to pull on the famous Black and Gold shirt and play my first game in front of the Wasps fans at Coventry Building Society Arena.
“Wasps have a very talented playing squad, and I’m looking forward to being part of it next season.”
