BATH skipper Ben Spencer hailed his side for a “brilliant first half ” and admitted: “I would have been gutted to lose it if that last kick had gone over but I’m still gutted.
“We gave away far too many penalties and they got back into it.” He believes Bath could have had more to show for a sparkling first-half performance.
“It’s been the story of our season missing that final pass or failing to get over,” he added. “It’s about taking it to teams and coming away with victories.”
