's return to free to air television did not disappoint as the nation was treated to a stunning Sale second-half fightback against leaders Tigers.

Tries from Julian Montoya and Guy Porter meant that Leicester went in with a handsome 5 – 18 lead. added with his boot to make the lead 5 – 21 early in the second half.

With 16 points in the match, it appeared that Leicester would increase their lead at the top of the Premiership. must have thought his team had done enough as Freddie Burns was brought off.

Miraculously, Sale roared into life as Ben Curry, Arron Reed and Dan du Preez built on Luke James' first half effort.

First, Curry's try breaking from a maul got Sale back into the game before Reed showed devastating pace after a flowing move to the left created a narrow corridor to score.

Dan du Preez chased down a Bryce Hegarty kick to score a third second half try to put Sale into the lead.

However, the game took yet another swing as Julian Montoya's second try once again put the Tigers in-front.

A loud AJ Bell Stadium roared Sale to take the lead against Leicester. An AJ MacGinty penalty extended the lead to four points before Tom Roebuck's late try sealed a brilliant win for Sale. Roebuck will be delighted with the try after he said beforehand that he wanted to show the world he was the real deal.

Ninth-placed Sale will hope the victory can kick start their season after a very inconsistent season so far. Leicester can take solace in the fact that second-placed and third-placed both lost this weekend as they sit 7 points clear at the top.
