ABERAVON’S Chris Banfield delivered a controlled performance to ensure his side left Sardis Road with their second win of the season.
After a quiet opening 20 minutes, Aberavon were first to get on the scoreboard after being awarded a penalty try due to Ponty’s ill-discipline at the scrum.
But Pontypridd reacted swiftly and scored straight from the restart. Dale Stuckey took a high ball and offloaded to Cally James, who dived over to score. Jake Lloyd added the conversion.
