CARMARTHEN Quins climbed to the top of the Indigo Premiership table with a hard- fought win over RGC.
The Quins got off to a flying start after a run from Ben Leung saw him cross for a try, with Steffan Marshall converting.
Carmarthen withstood pressure from RGC and won a penalty close to the opposition line but a strong away defence nudged them into the corner.
At the stroke of halftime RGC attempted for a penalty courtesy of Dion Jones from the halfway line but he was unable to dispatch.
