GEORGE Skivington said Rhys Priestland's last minute winner was a “big blow” after his side slumped to an eight successful loss to remain stuck to the bottom of the table.

The head coach tried hard to take the positives but conceded: “We need to get a win, and when you are so close to the end and lose, it knocks you back a bit. We deserved more from this game because we had to play for most of it with 14 men.

“When that happens so early the other guys have to step up and I was proud of the way they did just that. They showed real character and the result is just another big blow to what has been a frustrating season so far.

“We keep losing by small margins and we need to turn it around.”

flanker Taulupe Faletau, who grabbed a crucial first-half try, insisted: “We should have been in control a lot more than we were. We got the win but it wasn't a very good performance. We need to work on a lot of things.”
