SAM Simmonds scored two tries to take his season’s tally to 11 and in the process broke Thomas Waldrom’s club record of 41 tries in the Premiership.
Simmonds now has every chance of breaking the Premiership record of 17 tries in a season held by Richmond’s Dominic Chapman and Wasps’ Christian Wade.
Exeter’s assistant coach, Ali Hepher, said: “He is a phenomenal ball-carrier with incredible pace and stepping ability.
“The side put him in positions to score but he capitalises on them and I’m pleased he’s picked up the record because he’s an incredible talent.”
