EXETER DoR Rob Baxter and his squad are looking forward to the hectic end of this season that could see them play another 14 games.
“You can look at all the negatives but if you embrace it and recover well it can be a really exciting experience,” he said.
“Some of our guys can’t wait for midweek games.
“Today was what we expected in the first game back, a tight first half in which everybody tried each other out. Then we scored a killer try just before half-time from Stuart Hogg which really built momentum our way.
It’s probably the ideal scenario, we got the win but there is a clearly a lot of work ons.
“We have got threats everywhere. We scored a fantastic set-piece try yet most people will probably talk about our pick-andgoes and mauls. You need as many weapons as possible.
If we get pressure situations we want to score in as many ways as we can.” Tigers head coach Steve Borthwick said: “There were a lot of positives; the effort was magnificent, the intensity and desire was there but we g ave Exeter too many opportunities and we put pressure on ourselves.
“We made some errors, we will learn from that and be a better team going forward.”
