Road trip sets up spirit of adventure for second-placed Sale

SALE director of rugby Steve Diamond wanted to replicate a home fixture for his side so decided to take the 130-mile coach journey on Friday morning.
He said: “We’ve struggling a bit on the road so we decided to come down this morning and throw caution to the wind as we didn’t want to be cooped up in hotels.
“We played a good attritional game in wet weather and did exceptionally well in the first half.
