Late hit: Motu Matu’u

WORCESTER fly-half Duncan Weir damaged a number of teeth in a dangerous late hit by Motu Matu’u which saw the London Irish hooker sent off.
The incident occurred six minutes before halftime as Matu’u threw his head into Weir’s face, leaving the Scotland international poleaxed.
Referee Ian Tempest, who had sin-binned Irish prop Allan Dell moments earlier for a similarly late hit on Francois Hougaard, showed Matu’u a straight red.
