ISRAEL Folau is upping the ante on the cash-strapped Australian Rugby Union by claiming around £7.4m in lost earnings, arguing that he could have made it all the way to the Wallaby captaincy had he not been kicked out for expressing views that might have made an Old Testament prophet hesitate before putting pen to papyrus.
This thought occurs: Folau may have a serious problem with his country’s laws, but he’s happy to embrace its court system when there’s serious money to be made.
