Baxter’s new breed prove their qualities

THE next generation of Exeter forwards showed they have been wellschooled in the Chiefs’ brand of pack attrition.
They forced Bath to concede a succession of penalties and director of rugby Rob Baxter said: “Our young front row was outstanding and that really gave us a foothold in the game.” Baxter also declared himself very pleased with the debut of non-stop South African lock Jannes Kirsten, who arrived from Super Rugby’s Bulls during the summer.
