CHARLIE Ewels admitted the Bath players were desperate to ensure Todd Blackadder left on a positive note. Bath captain Ewels, who inspired his team to a last ditch victory and Champions Cup rugby next season, said: “It was massive to win because we wanted to put in a performance to do the boss justice. We also wanted Champions Cup rugby.
“This is a difficult place to come with a hostile crowd and it’s always a special game with them. We are grow growing as a team and even though we did not play that well we got over the line at the end.”
