GLOUCESTER boss Johan Ackermann saluted his side’s character after they overcame an early deficit against gallant Wasps to enhance their play-off chances.
Trailing 11-0 to Marcus Watson’s try and six points from the boot of Rob Miller, Gloucester roared back to take charge before half-time and, with Danny Cipriani and star man Mark Atkinson pulling the strings, nailed the points through Jake Polledri’s late try.
Ackermann said: “It was a real scrap at times, but we showed a lot of character.”
