FOLLOWING this year’s European Cup final on the shores of the North Sea in Newcastle – for which tickets are already selling fast – it seems as if the showpiece of the 2020 season will be staged on the Mediterranean coast.
Reports from France say Marseille will host the 2020 European Cup final, and having been present at England’s epic quarter-final victory over Australia at the Stade Velodrome its claims to being one of the most atmospheric stadiums in the world are not exaggerated.
Let’s hope for more drama – and English finalists.
