SARACENS stalwart Richard Wigglesworth has vowed to set a mark that is “tough to beat” as he prepares to succeed Steve Borthwick as the Premiership’s record appearance maker.
Scrum-half Wigglesworth, 35, will run out against Gloucester today for his 266th league game– building on a career that started as a one-minute replacement for Sale against Bath in November 2002 and stretches to a staggering 432 matches when England and cup competitions are included.
