Two of Wasps’ lesser lights are making waves after experienced vastly differing routes to the top.
Back rower Atkinson, 27, was rejected by London Irish at 18 but rebuilt his career at Loughborough Students, where he gained a geography degree before embarking on five years of hard yakka in the Championship with Cornish Pirates and London Scottish.
