OWEN Farrell was the chief executioner – a flawless 11 from 11 goal-kicks for 27 points giving the new England captain the record tally for a player in a Premiership semi-final – as Saracens booked their place in next weekend’s Twickenham final.
The records kept tumbling, with a second-half rally by Wasps ensuring the highest scoring semi-final in Premiership history.
However, even though the 11 tries scored – six by Saracens and five by Wasps – were almost split evenly, the home side were always the dominant force.
