TIGERS skipper George Ford saluted Tuilagi’s display. He said: “It’s great for him. He’s building his way back into the game and you saw some powerful carries.
“It’s going to take 10-12 games for him to be back to his best but he and Matt Toomua are only going to get better together.” Ford’s bravery in going for the corner when the game was tight paid dividends.
He added: “It was 12-8 and we needed to be aggressive. You’ve got to be courageous, they’re massive turning points and we got the try.”
