ALAN Solomons’ home debut as Worcester’s new director of rugby saw Warriors concede a season’s worst at Sixways as Bath ran in 46 points, five more than Exeter achieved back in September.
Solomons said: “We were outplayed and outmuscled as they dominated the game and we couldn’t get any possession or territory.
“The biggest problem was that we couldn’t stop them recycling the ball at speed. We tried to play catch-up rugby and this compounded our errors, but at least we kept going right to the end.
MATCH STATS…
“Bath have been on a sketchy run but they were always going to come good at some stage as they are an exceptionally good side.”
“They are presently in sixth but will no doubt be challenging for a top four spot at the end of the season – they played superbly.”
Bath boss, Todd Blackadder, was full of praise for his side. He said: “I’m really proud of our performance as we took on board the lessons we’ve learnt from two disappointing defeats.
“Our defence was outstanding; we had the physicality that we’ve lacked in recent weeks and we were really smart in doing the simple things.”
