THE signing of former Wallaby centre Ben Tapuai is starting to look like a seriously canny piece of business by Bath director of rugby Todd Blackadder.
Tapuai wore 12 on his back in this nail-shredding win over Northampton, but the Australian was omnipresent and gave Bath vision and variety in attack.
Having arrived from Western Force in November, Tapuai linked up nicely with fly-half Rhys Priestland in a contest that saw Northampton mount a second-half fightback of three tries in 15 minutes.
