BRISTOL Bears strengthened their chances of progression to the next stage of the Challenge Cup with a victory over Zebre.
The Bears had already picked up one win in Europe this season, beating USA Perpignan and started lively at Ashton Gate.
Multiple errors from Zebre on their try line, in the 14th minute, allowed Joe Batley to capitalise, but sloppy play from Ioan Lloyd, who deliberately knocked the ball on, gifted Zebre a penalty try.
