CARDIFF Blues scored ten tries as they thrashed Calvisano – but it still wasn’t enough to progress to the quarter-finals.
John Mulvihill’s side’s European hopes came to an end with Pau’s 24-17 victory over Leicester, and Mulvihill admitted the Blues didn’t deserve anything more out of their Challenge Cup campaign.
“We won three out of our six games and if you only win half then you don’t deserve to be in the quarterfinals,” Mulvihill said.
