STADE Francais held firm in the French capital to ensure their position in the quarter-finals despite a late try from Dougie Fife.
Prop Paul Alo-Emile opened the scoring for Stade from close range after just four minutes with Shane Geraghty adding the conversion for 7-0.
They doubled their try count four minutes later through Jonathan Danty after referral with the TMO.
Shellshocked Edinburgh started making inroads after a series of solid scrums but too often found themselves on the back foot with Stade looking sharp in attack.
