Toon-town dreamer: Scorcher’s Billy Dane

READERS of a certain age might remember the popular cartoon series Billy’s Boots in Scorcherwhen Billy Dane discovered an old pair of football boots up in his grandmother’s loft that belonged to ‘legendary’ striker Dead Shot Keen.
Despite their dilapidated state Dane was transformed into a prodigious scorer of remarkable goals whenever he wore the boots.
