IN SWANSEA last weekend, rugby surrendered another piece of the moral high ground they like to think separates them from football.
One brief exchange between the referee and the home captain during the Ospreyus-Scarlets derby would have left no doubt as to the territorial deficit.
It exposed the hitherto unchallenged theory that only soccer players stoop low enough to try to get fellow professionals sent off as so much baloney.
The clamour from players on one side calling for yellow cards against those on the other has left referees in danger of needing treatment for ear ache.
