DEVON are in pole position to quality for the knock-out stages of the third-tier competition after beating Dorset & Wilts, 68-43, in a quite extraordinary game of rugby at Ivybridge.
The visitors came into the contest having beaten Berkshire in their opener last weekend and despite have plenty of say here, they were eventually subdued by a lethal home outfit.
The tries were largely shared on a baking hot day on the south coast, Brixham winger Matt Crosscombe’s hat-trick the highlight.
