GLOUCESTERSHIRE won on Hertfordshire soil for the first time since 2006 thanks to a powerful first half in which they pressurised their hosts into mistakes and clinically finished off their chances.
Early converted tries from Sam Goatley, Terence Babarinsa and Leo Fielding opened up a 21-0 lead from which Hertfordshire never recovered.
Late Hertfordshire tries from Alex Ricci and Nick Hankin were cancelled out by Babarinsa’s second score and one from James Dean in the last play for a huge 33-12 half-time lead.
