THE illustrious ACE league entered its second stage, with the best four teams from both the North and South divisions drafted into pools to determine the best college in the country.
Gosforth Academy were the only side to maintain a perfect record in the first stage, but lost their stage two opener against Beechen Cliff by 36-14.
Beechen Cliff stumbled into the next round of the competition with just a 50 per cent win rate, but their victory symbolises potential southern dominance in the competition.
All four southern sides took home bonus points again...
