Blackburn head coach Dino Radice insists his hands were tied following criticism of their 190-0 thrashing of Kirkby Lonsdale in what was the highest-ever score in British rugby history.
The score topped the previous worst scoreline of 177-3 in December 1996 when Norwich defeated Eccles and Attleborough in a Norfolk Cup match.
Kirkby Lonsdale are bottom of the table in Regional 1 North West without a single point all season. In 19 league games heading into this weekend they have conceded over 1,423 points.
