NEW Wharfedale director of rugby Simon Verbickas made an emphatic start to his tenure in north Yorkshire as his side blew away Preston Grasshoppers in their opening game of the season last weekend.
Wharfedale scored nine tries in a 57-18 win, delighting Verbickas who knows it’s imperative to start the National 2 North season strongly before the bad weather hits.
