Hull Ionians blew visitors York apart in a preseason fixture that proved an entertaining encounter throughout.
The visitors, fresh from victory over Pontefract the previous week, may have expected to provide more challenging opposition to the hosts, but found the step up in league status beyond them.
Ionians started with what looked like a full-strength side and within the opening 10 minutes had imposed themselves sufficiently to score three tries through Jack Townsend, Sam Wilson and Ben Stephenson.
