Premiership clubs were phoning the agents of some of Wasps‘ top talent this week amid rumours that the club had filed for a Company Voluntary Arrangement.
Clubs were swarming around, hoping to pick up a bargain with cash-strapped Wasps believed to be struggling to repay a £35 million retail bond.
Wasps owner Derek Richardson has denied that the club would enter into administration after missing the latest deadline to pay the repayments owed.
“We are not in administration, and we are not going to be,” the Irish businessman told The Times.
