Exeter University get top marks once more

University continue to lead the way as they recorded a ninth straight bonus-point victory from nine – but were made to work hard for their 39-33 win against Western-Super-Mare.

Full-back Edd Thomas scored a magnificent brace for the hosts, with Tom Addison, James Botterill and Jack Botter also crossing. Alec Lloyd- Seed completed the hosts tally with eight points.

Second-place remain just four points behind the pacesetters as they thrashed bottom of the table Camborne 46-13 as they also remain unbeaten.

Exmouth stay in third as they made it five consecutive wins with a 24-7 win against Drybook.

Matt Ryan led the charge with two tries as Connor O’Shaughnessy and Will Ridout also crossed to secure the bonus-point win. Fly-half George Meadows kicked two of the conversions.

Fourth-place Old Redcliffians also continued their fine form with a comfortable 59-27 win at Old Centralians. Dan Fry and Donald Farmer both ran in hat-tricks, while Ashley Groves, Alex Harvey and Chris Pursall all crossed once.

Okehampton upset the odds by overcoming in-form Bournemouth 25-22 at the Showground.

Elsewhere, Ivybridge were 35-30 winners against Brixham. Outside-centre Charlie Bryant scored a brace for the hosts with -half Ben Watts also touching down. However, it was the accurate kicking of Matt Grieversen that was the difference between the two sides.

And finally, Launceston, were 44-36 winners against Royal Wootton Bassett.
