will play no part in run-in after sustaining a hamstring injury in their triumph over Leinster last weekend.
The loosehead prop came off just before the half-hour mark, along with fellow prop Titi Lamositele, who will both miss the climax of the season.
Commenting on the injuries, Saracens director of Mark McCall said: “It’s disappointing to lose two players of that quality and it makes us a little bit vulnerable.”
Vunipola will miss the last game of Saracens regular season along with their semi-final at Allianz Park, and a potential final clash at HQ on 1st June, and with it, the chance to lift the trophy for a fifth time since his debut in 2011.
However, McCall confirmed Vunipola will be back in time to board the plane for , if selected by Jones as expected.
He has only recently returned to the pitch after a lay-off due to an injury sustained during England’s second match of the 2019 against .
McCall plans to rest a whole host of his regulars against , and is confident his squad can cope with the loss of two influential front rowers. He added: “Juan Figallo is just coming back from injury, which is good timing.
“We were really impressed with Richard Barrington and Vincent Koch when they came on (as replacements against Leinster), and Christian Judge has had a really good season. So we’ve got some guys who are ready to step up.”
